Make your own Vermouth · Online Masterclass

Join in on this Tasting IN & The Vermouth Experience production, as we submerge ourselves into the wonderful world of vermú.

In this one-hour and master class workshop, we will start with a brief introduction to vermouth, answering questions like where does the name vermouth come from?  What’s the difference between sweet and dry vermouth? What are the key ingredients?

Once we are equipped with the theory its time to get your hands dirty as you join me in The Alambique, my private Vermouth bar, as I guide you through the process of creating your own home-made vermouth.

We will learn two methods:  the traditional slow-maceration method, which takes several weeks, and the express method where we will have our vermouth ready for consumption by the end of the class!

Upon completing the class, you will have:

  • A sound foundation of knowledge about Vermouth
  • A freshly prepared bottle of instant Vermouth, developed using the express method and ready for consumption
  • A bottle of vermouth macerating, to be ready for consumption within three weeks

Join us for this virtual tour and Vermouth work shop, during which, our host is going to answer all the questions and more!

The host and presenter, Sinisa Curavic, has been living and working in both Barcelona and the more rural parts of Catalonia for more than 10 years now, and is now sharing his passion and personal  experiences around Vermouth!

Description

The Vermouth Experience!

A very refreshing aperitif and a drink mixer, with a long history, explained!

  •  Did you know that beverages similar to today’s Vermouth, were consumed already during the Shang Dynasty in China?
  •  Do you know where the name comes from, and where the first original recipe was created?
  •  What does a Vermouth taste like and what are the different Vermouth styles?
  •  How is it made and what does it contain?

You have most likely enjoyed Vermouth in its plain form, and more likely as an ingredient in cocktails like Negroni, Manhattan or Dry Martini, but did you know that the Romans, ancient Greeks and many others, through millennia, have enjoyed the medicinal benefits of Vermouth?

It is now your turn to understand and learn more about Vermouth and at the end of the master class, make your own Vermú
